In-App Request
Open Profile in the EXP app, go to settings and data controls, and choose 'Request account deletion'. The app saves the request locally first, then shows when EXP has received it and displays live processing status.
The in-app Profile action is the primary way to request account deletion. This public route provides secondary instructions for members without app access, store compliance, and account recovery.

When a deletion request is received, your account enters a 30-day dark grace period during which your profile and content are hidden and account access is disabled. Reactivation remains available upon request during this window. After 30 days, staged content erasure begins, and permanent deletion of your account and personal data is completed within 90 days.
Upon completion, EXP permanently erases your account credentials, login identifiers, profile details, handle, avatar photo, completed experience progress, board scorecards, points history, uploaded proof photos and video captures, feed posts, comments, reactions, private messages, activity signals, and notification preferences.
EXP retains only anonymized aggregate statistics and ledger totals with all personal identifiers removed. Safety, trust, abuse-prevention, and moderation records (such as reported safety violations or active disputes) are retained with identity unlinked (user ID set to null) to protect community safety. Records subject to an active legal hold or investigation are retained for the legally mandated period.
